Terms of Service

Effective date: June 9, 2026 · Last updated: June 9, 2026

TL;DR

These terms cover your use of the Discover Docket Marketing Site (discoverdocket.ai). Information on the site is informational only and is NOT legal advice. Nothing on the site creates an attorney-client relationship. The platform itself, when launched, will be governed by separate subscription terms.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the Discover Docket Marketing Site at discoverdocket.ai (the "Marketing Site"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Marketing Site.

These Terms apply to the Marketing Site only. Use of the Discover Docket Platform (the "Platform") will be governed by a separate subscription agreement and is not covered by these Terms.

All content on the Marketing Site — including but not limited to articles in The Docket, resource pages, FAQ entries, the JILL and DDEAS framework pages, and the security and features pages — is provided for informational purposes only and is NOT to be construed as legal advice.

Specifically:

  • Nothing on the Marketing Site creates an attorney-client relationship between you and Chris Waters, Discover Docket, or any other person.
  • Legal information is general; application to a specific matter requires the judgment of counsel licensed in the appropriate jurisdiction.
  • Case law citations, statutory references, procedural rule citations, and ethics opinion citations are provided for general orientation. Application of these authorities to a specific matter requires independent legal research and analysis.
  • The Marketing Site is not a substitute for consultation with a licensed attorney.

If you need legal advice on a specific matter, consult a licensed attorney in the appropriate jurisdiction.

3. Not financial or investment advice

The investor page and any related materials on the Marketing Site are provided for general informational purposes and are NOT to be construed as financial, investment, or tax advice.

The Marketing Site does not contain an offer to sell or a solicitation of an offer to buy any securities. Any offer or sale of Discover Docket securities will be made only to qualified investors in compliance with applicable federal and California state securities laws and only through formal offering documents.

If you are considering an investment decision, consult a licensed financial advisor and review all relevant disclosure documents provided through proper channels.

  • Use the content for training machine learning models or AI systems without our written permission

6. Forms and communications

When you submit information through any form on the Marketing Site, you represent that:

  • The information you provide is true and accurate to the best of your knowledge
  • You are submitting on your own behalf or with authority to do so on behalf of an organization
  • You are not using a misleading or false identity

We use the information you submit as described in our Privacy Policy. We are not obligated to respond to every inquiry, though we make a good-faith effort to respond to all substantive messages.

7. Email communications

By submitting a form, you consent to receive emails from us related to your submission and, where applicable (such as waitlist signups), to receive periodic updates. You can unsubscribe from non-transactional emails at any time as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Marketing Site and all content on it are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Marketing Site will be available without interruption

Legal information on the Marketing Site is provided in good faith but is general informational content. We do not warrant its application to any specific matter.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Discover Docket, Inc., its officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or any other commercial damages or losses — arising out of or related to your use of the Marketing Site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total cumulative liability under these Terms, in any case, shall not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100.00).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation of certain damages. The limitations above may not apply to you in full; in such cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Discover Docket, Inc., its officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from any claim, demand, loss, damage, cost, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of:

  • Your use of the Marketing Site in violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
  • Your violation of any third party's rights

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Marketing Site at any time, with or without notice, for any reason or no reason, including (but not limited to) if you violate these Terms.

You may stop using the Marketing Site at any time.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Marketing Site shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

13. Changes to terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Marketing Site after a modification constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

14. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Discover Docket, Inc. with respect to the Marketing Site, and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
